Some opportunities only come once in a lifetime. If you fail to grab them, they may be gone forever. So when one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities came, I had to grab it. Despite short notice. Despite schedule conflicts. Despite the challenges and risks.
Seriously.
It all happened so fast. I almost did not make it. But I know, God worked things out in my favor. Ü
So last November 2016, I was blessed to participate and demonstrate paperclip projects for the DIY segment of the local tv show Good News kasama si Vicky Morales. Ü
Ta-dah!
It was such a fun experience. At first I was ecstatic. I thought it would be easy. I have been making paperclip bookmarks for the longest time. But then I was asked to prepare 4-5 projects using paperclips. I scrambled for sources. I googled and googled but I realized there aren’t a lot of paperclip projects out there. I envisioned. I improvised. I felt proud. Then I felt so sad I actually cried. My PTO/leave for the shoot was not approved due to short notice. I thought it was all over. But then the production staff were kind enough to adjust their schedules for me. We shot the segment in the evening. I grew tired. Sleepy. But my heart was full.
Then the following Monday, it finally aired. I was ecstatic once again.
And thankful.
The Lord has been really great, gracious and kind to me.
My hubby, family and friends were very supportive too!
And GMA NewsTV has been very kind and accommodating.
I know things like this don’t happen often. It may not even happen again. So I really cherish it.
But you know what? It already did! (At least part of my video that is.) I just found out from a friend that the show replayed my ‘star paperclip bangles’ DIY last December.
Ayiii!!! I am so kilig! 😍
P.S. Special thanks and credits to GMA News tv youtube and fb page for the video and photos included on this post.
To God be the glory!
