I don’t believe in luck. I believe in grace. God’s grace.
When bad things happen, it’s either a trial to make you stronger or a consequence of a mistake you made.
When good things happen, it’s God’s blessing and grace. And the good thing about grace, is that although we do not have control over it, or even deserve it, God gives it freely. So free and so abounding that it can overpower even the bad things and negatives. 😉
Nevertheless, we all know that the world, or the Irish, celebrates March 17 as St. Patrick’s Day. And you know what else is celebrated around this time of the year? My inaanak’s (god-child) birthday! 🙂
So last March 15, my god-daughter Irish Freyja celebrated her 5th birthday in school and I was blessed with the opportunity to sponsor part of her birthday, as my gift to her. 🙂
The theme was Trolls but since her name is Irish (taken after her father) and her birthday is around the Irish festival, Clovers had to be in the scene.
And so, here are the items her mom and I made:
1. Pop-up Invitation
We used scrapbook and glitter paper, and my Silhouette Cameo to cutout the grass and the clovers. We printed photos of Poppie and her mom cut them by hand (yeah, I haven’t fully learned how to do this print-then-cut thing in Cameo, sorry). Then we stuck them piece by piece on the pop-up resulting into these:
2. Irish Claddagh Awards
Irish wanted to give something special to her friends at school so her mother came up with the Claddagh Awards. They got unique descriptions of each classmate from Irish herself and her teacher and created paper medals for each.
Here we used dark green cardstock and gold glitter paper, Silhouette Cameo and punchers, and some gold ribbons.
3. Glow-stick Bracelets
Hug tiiiiime! You know how in the Trolls movie, they have bracelets that would glow from time to time so the trolls get to hug each other? Well, we couldn’t use glowing gems and flowers but we opted to use glow-sticks intead. And of course, still attach some flowers to them.
Don’t you just think they are pretty? I think so too! And it’s not because we made them. Ahihihi. 🙂
And I love the photos too!

That’s all for now. I’ve got some ‘transcribing’ to do. Haha!
To God be the glory! 🙂
