When Boredom Strikes

A little crafter is born. 

Let me tell you a story about a girl… who got bored one summer night and asked for ‘anything’ to do.

Since my lowerback injury rendered me unable to move and bend that much, I tried asking her to assemble @eclation’s remaining planner kits for me. I tried. No hopes up. Just tried.

And to my surprise, she did it! And she even liked it! From folding boxes to putting the contents together. I couldn’t believe she was having fun. She delivered!

All 13 boxes! All 13 kits!

After that, she happily put the remaining pieces together, made one last special kit, and claimed it as her own! She kept saying it was her reward for doing a great job. And I couldn’t agree more.

See, she even got a special mermaid tail charm.

And even used my sticker miscuts to decorate her box.

Isn’t she just lovely?

And that made me really happy! 🥰

We should never really underestimate what a child can do. It’s when we trust them that they get to develop and grow beautifully, and sometimes, even to our surprise.

Children are a gift from the Lord;
    they are a reward from him.
